Meet Joanne
Joanne is the artist and founder behind At The Beach Glass, a Melbourne-based studio specializing in custom stained glass, restoration, and hands-on instruction.
Her work began with a fascination for how light transforms glass—how a single piece can shift in color and character throughout the day. What started as a personal passion grew into a dedicated practice rooted in craftsmanship and traditional techniques.
Joanne designs custom pieces that feel intentional within a space, from windows and doors to decorative panels. She works in both lead and copper foil, creating designs that range from timeless to modern.
She also restores stained glass with care and precision, preserving its original character while ensuring it lasts for years to come.
In her studio, Joanne teaches classes and private lessons, guiding students through the process in a way that’s approachable, hands-on, and rewarding.
